Golden Shave

Winter is over which means one thing...time to shave off that winter coat on your legs ;) 

Introducing my new BFF of the shaving world. Personally I'm not really into waxing (basically i'm a wimp but it hurts too much) so razors are what keeps me smooth and silky. But it's pretty annoying when you have to keep buying new ones and try to find one that really keeps your legs smooth for more than a few days.

This is where Friction Free Shaving has filled that void. Not only are the heads much better quality than standard ones I use but it has way more blades to keep the shave super close. Rosie Fortescue Jewellery Launch

Last week held the Launch Party for Rosie Fortescue's new jewellery range at the Sanderson Hotel, London and it finally went on sale yesterday with help from jewellery master DuttsonRocks.

The launch was of course totally flawless and the jewels are something else. With jewelled earcuffs, torque necklaces and bracelets and statement rings that you can stack up your fingers to your hearts content, it's safe to say Rosie has created a masterpiece collection.

My favourite pieces were definitely the crown rings available here, her stunning earcuffs available here and her statement necklace with coloured stones available here.The layout was beautiful and accompanied by her Collection video which captured the bright colours, the vibe and the style of Rosie herself. The atmosphere around the collection was welcoming and warmed by Jo Malone candles and delicate country flowers. A piece of art in it's own right. All washed down with Bombay Sapphire who kindly sponsored the event and kept everyone in high spirits under the outside heaters of the courtyard in the Sanderson Hotel.

Spring Jewels

As you can all probably tell with my latest beach soon I am totally over winter and it's all about spring now. What a way to bring in spring with some new jewels to compliment all outfits in the spring sunshine. 

Here is an introductory post about some new jewellery pieces I'll be wearing this month.

These are all pieces from the gorgeous Ready To Wear Collection from DuttsonRocks. The Rose gold star set are so beautiful in the sun (also worn on the beach shoot) with the little gems sparkling away and catching the sun perfectly. The Fearless bracelet, the white gold version of my rose gold disc bracelet, match up perfectly with the moonstone ring. Anyone who knows me knows how obsessed I am with rings so this is a VERY welcome addition to the collection. It's nice to mix up the metals some days and white gold is so fresh and shines wonderfully. So many pieces that I can't wait to style up with some outfits this month which will all be on the blog for you to see. They are all so delicate but are the perfect addition to your spring outfits.

Golden Gown

I have been so excited to share this post with you and introduce you to the amazing brand that I had the pleasure of wearing at the Fashion Influencer Awards. As I am only 5"4 (hence the blog title) I really struggle with finding floor length dresses to fit me without having to wear ridiculously high platform heels; so of course you can imagine how happy I was when this was waiting for me in my hotel and it fitted perfectly. I love the way it pools slightly at the bottom when I stand still and then floats effortlessly around my feet as I walk. Such stunning dress that reflects light amazingly and it will probably be something I put on in my flat to cheer me up on bad days.

I styled this Marilyn Golden gown from FashionPills with some studded heels, which I managed to last all night in and also from Fashion Pills. The dress floats straight down with a high waist line that I accessorised with my lion head belt from Topshop. Finishing the look with a gorgeous beaded gold clutch; the detailing on this is just so beautiful I will put up a mini post on it very soon as also buyable on their website. 

I always think you need to feel yourself at an event like this and wear something that reflects you and I honestly felt so comfortable ad confident in this outfit...it did helping knowing I wasn't going to fall flat on my face. Initially I was so nervous about attending this event as I suffer from anxiety and it gets a lot worse when I'm around a lot of people I don't know. Not many people see this side to me as I'm usually pretty bubbly, but the event was such a big turning point for me. Everyone was lovely and chatty with only the sweetest things to say which has helped my confidence so much. I found by the end of the night I was happily chatting to people I don't know and didn't constantly think they were judging me, yay! Fabulous experience and I hope there will be loads more this year that I can report back to you all about.

I do have to say I did feel a little bit like the little mermaid in this outfit, but I loved it and had the best time at the event so a big thankyou to Stylight and Fashion Pills for inviting me along and allowing me to wear this incredible outfit.

Winter is Golden

Last year (still weird saying that as it was only 2 days ago but still) I did a gold themed shoot which has to be one of my favourite shoots ever. It was so much fun and my team were just amazing. You can still watch the Behind the Scenes Vlog of this shoot on my youtube channel inclusing make up changes and how i got this hair. But now I can finally show you some of the final images from this shoot. 

We produced two different looks, one much softer than the other but both equally amazing. I still can't get over how gorgeous the dress was and how well it fitted me, if it was mine I'd wear to bed. It's also so lovely when you work with people who put you at ease at make you feel like you're around friends, which I like to consider them as now. This is definitely one of the more smiley shoots I've done, so many giggles on this day and a very fond memory of 2014. This was the perfect shoot to do just before christmas, so much sparkle and magic and I cannot wait to do other big shoots this year. Need to push myself out my comfort zone more this year with shoots and see how far I can get. 

Dream big and believe in yourself. No one can reach your goals but you, so don't let anyone get in the way and tell you otherwise. The people who tell you that you can't do it...let them be your motivation and prove them wrong!
