Winter Wondering

Exploring and finding new places to adventure is something I've always loved doing and as the crisp winter air finally hit, it was time to venture out in the cold and feel properly alive. We stumbled across these old remains of a house and decided to shoot you a blog post on one of my favourite winter outfits.

White is always a beautiful colour to wear in winter. I for one am totally guilty for wanting to do all-black-everything everyday of the week but I need to branch out into bright colours when the rains and the cold sets in. This is one of my all time classics, my cable knit jumper from Jack Wills, it's super warm and great for layering when it's freezing. I wore a little shirt underneath so I had a pastel colour poking out by my neck so my pale skin doesn't totally disappear into my sweater. (Funny but serious)

It was of course another perfect opportunity to show off my Fairfax & Favour boots that I can't get enough of, The quality of them is just amazing and totally worth every penny. The option to personalise them and fit the colour to your outfit with the interchangeable tassels on the zips is such a beautiful quality these boots have. (you've already seen the colour pop of the blue in my snowy blog post but I just adore them)  I really can't wait for spring so I can show these babies off in spring wear. The tan colour brings the outfit to life and stops it from being completely dull.

My jeans are my safety net, everyone has that one pair of jeans you wear till they die...and even then you still wear them because you can't bring yourself to throw them away. Thankfully these jeans are not done yet but they are my favourite. As i'm petite it is a total nightmare trying to find jeans that fit all your measurements but honestly these JONI jeans from Topshop fit like a glove.

I'm dying for the warmer weather so we can do more fun blog posts with brighter colours and sunshine but I have some totally different experiments coming this year and over june there will be some really new things I haven't done on the blog before, I'm so exciteddd...roll on summer!!!

Country Afternoon

I recently modelled the new A/W Hat Collection by my beautiful friend and SUPER talented hat designer and milliner Holly Young. Once I got the images back I had to share them because they are some of my favourites and I love a good country style shoot. Growing up back home, farms, countryside and the country fashion were (and still are) big loves of mine so this shoot was so exciting to embrace it all. A perfect little team with myself, Jade Berry as our lovely photographer and of course Holly was there with giant boxes filled with her hat creations.

I love love love a good hat and this was just too much for me to cope with. Autumn is coming on fast and it's one of my favourite seasons, time to embrace the hats! I literally would wear them all if I could and knowing how much I love to wrap up in autumn they would all make the perfect addition to every outfit...obviously I wouldn't wear them all at one time. That'd be weird.

As well as the beautiful hats Holly also makes the little feather brooches I'm wearing on my jackets and on the hats themselves! HOW CUTE ARE THEY! I'm obsessed with how perfect they are and can add the perfect touch to autumnal outfits. Embracing my inner country girl was so much fun and now I am ready to rock these looks in London next month and here in lovely Cornwall when the leaves start to fall!

Seriously though guys, get yourselves one of these hats...slay it this Autumn!

Afternoon Tea For Being 23

It has been a mental first week of being 23, travelling to London, spending a day with Jack Wills for their Seasonnaires, travelling back to Cornwall, having my Graduation Ball and having work, but it's been such a lovely, exciting week. I have finally got a chance to show you all the lovely lunch party I had for my birthday.

Usually I do something big and make a weekend of it but this year I just wanted something little with my favourite people. As this was the first year of not being at my family home for my birthday at all I just wanted something cute and relaxed. What better than afternoon tea in a vintage tearoom with my prettiest friends. I wore my new stunning Jones and Jones dress which is a huge favourite right now and I can't wait to get it out more while the sun is shining!

We had little sandwiches, scones and tea and I received some wonderful gifts, one of which I will blogging as one of my best friends bought me a spa with her which we are going on tomorrow and I cannot wait! I was also gifted my Polaroid camera, some wonderful flowers, 1KG of nutella (you totally know my excitement for this), a lovely sign to hang in my next flat, some treats and mermaid necklace, some MAC favourites and comforts and so much more and I can't thank my friends and family enough for being so thoughtful and amazing to me!

I find these days it is more about who you spend your birthday with and not what you receive. When you're little all you think about is the presents and getting surprises, the gifts I was given were all so thoughtful and unexpected, but it was so much more special to be spending some quality time with those who have been there for me through thick and thin. After all one of the greatest gifts is a true friendship, it doesn't come along everyday so when you have that true level of friendship, hold onto it forever. The memories of this day are more then enough to keep with me forever. But a huge thank you to everyone for sending me lovely things, for the messages, the cards, the wishes, I'm grateful for them all and the thought behind them was so lovely! And a big thankyou to my lovely photographer, friend and second mother who looks after me down here for taking photos (hers are the good ones the rest are bad selfies)!

Special Feature Outfit

In the coming weeks FiveFootFour has been lucky enough to be part of some exciting collaborations starting tonight in my little home town of Shrewsbury. I won't give away the destination just yet as there will be some amazing things happening but here is my outfit for this evening. Featuring my new JONI jeans which are the best fitting jeans I own and super comfy.

Feeling a black and white theme for tonight and even the sun has come out so I won't be needing a jacket, summer isn't over yet guys! Love a classic black and white outfit, adding some casual elements with the statement necklace. Super excited for this article so keep your eyes peeled and look out for updates.
