FatFace - Summer Must Haves

Here are my summer must haves from the new FatFace Summer Shop that are now available. These pieces have been massive Go-To items for my travels in Greece and I'm sure you will be able to see why.

The ultimate holiday cover up has now been made and found. I love lace and crochet details and this Harlyn Crochet Cover Up is perfect with it's detailed sleeves and middle panel. Still letting that warm breeze cool you down but thin enough to over heat you. I found this so great for evenings on the beach and once I thought my shoulders were burnt enough for the day ;) The detail in this cover is just beautiful, the side panels have different texture to the middle and the thin cotton sleeves keep it comfy and able to flutter in the breeze.

Of course this cover up has to be paired with the perfect bikini...introducing the Rib Strip Sport Top and Pants...these were my comfort swimwear all holiday. Super comfy and with the 3D ribbing on the bikini it was a bit different to standard prints. These complemented the cover up so well and they were ridiculously supportive when swimming underwater and snorkelling all day long.

Greece is full of the famous white buildings, blue skies and blue waters which makes this place just heavenly. The new Kirsty Strip Dress reflects Greece perfectly for me and was so gorgeous next to the flowing the pink flowers down the building sides. A classic summer dress that will be worn when I'm home on loads of summer occasions. Such a sweet length too and perfect for exploring the little streets in Lindos.

No summer holiday is complete without comfy bright flip flops. In summer I personally hate wearing shoes and I live in flip flops so for me finding ones that don't rub in between the toes and don't make the bottoms of your feet ache is super hard. But from day one these Pease Printed Flip Flops were complete comfort. No rubbing, seriously spongy so no achy feet and I love the boho pattern. These are a big must have from me for your summer wardrobe and your travels.

Look out for more blog posts from my travels with my FatFace must haves coming soon on how I styled them and where they went with me!

Early Summer

Apologies for raving about this shoot so much and not having it up before today. The internet in my flat is currently horrific and it takes literally days to upload things at the moment...a bloggers worst nightmare. But yay, today I can publish it!

I wanted to do a shoot like this for a while but worrying about what people would think and how I'd look played on my mind so much. But when SouthBeach sent me this amazing bikini I thought how could I not show it off to everyone because it literally fits so well and I'm so over winter.

Of course being comfortable in bikinis is a big deal as it's basically underwear that's acceptable to wear in public in summer, so feeling good in one is literally the selling point. I can't recommend their swimwear enough, as it ticks all of these boxes.

Some of you may know that I have suffered with self confidence and anxiety which did make this shoot a big struggle and the whole time we were shooting I was concentrating so hard on not freaking out that I was in a bikini in front of a camera. And yes I do know that it doesn't make sense as I'm a model but usually when I shoot it's so much fun and the only time I forget all my problems and worries. It helps that the teams I have are so lovely and supportive they always put me at ease. I did this shoot to overcome my personal little hates about my body and the more I look at the more I like them, so I guess tackling your fears head on can work really well.

Having confidence in the way you look is a big problem at the moment and we all have things we want to change, places we don't like, angles we hate and flabby bits that we wish would go away. I don't want to preach and say you should love yourself as I'm not going to be a hypocrite but I do have things I like about myself too and when I'm in situations like this I focus on them and it makes it so much easier. I guess what I'm trying to say is no one is perfect and if there is a stereotype that models are arrogant and perfect (which someone actually asked me recently) I guess I wanted to show you guys that I'm pretty normal and have things I'm scared of too.

So basically I'm super nervous about posting this feature which is why I'm rambling but I hope this can help you guys overcome something you don't like about yourselves as well... or just get you excited for summer and being able to wear cute bikinis! SouthBeach have such an amazing range and their sizes are bang on so get in fast to get your summer swimwear!

Farewell Berlin

The first week of February and it is already proving to be a wonderful month. My dissertation is now done, tomorrow I'll be printing it and then FREEDOM (until monday when next semester starts).

As a result of uni taking over my posts have been so behind but tonight is the last instalment of my lovely mini break to Berlin. I need to get my feet well travelled this year even if it's only a few mini breaks. Paris is definitely on the list. I haven't been for years and really want to adventure around the little streets finding beautiful coffee shops and watching the world go by.

I wish I had longer in Germany than I did have but the time I had was perfect and met some amazingly inspiring people. I feel so blessed to be lucky enough to have been sent over there. Even the surrounds weren't hard to appreciate as everywhere you go there is something to stop and stare at, or in my case, take photos of. It was freezing cold but there is nothing better in winter than having rosy cheeks because the icy winds have pinched them. It's the little things in life that are memorable and it's these memories we should create more of.

I have such a fun month coming up, starting tomorrow with rehearsals for a Bridal Show in a couple of weeks, very excited to try on some beautiful fluffy dresses, I absolutely love modelling bridal. And yes, of course you can expect some photos tomorrow afternoon with some sneak peaks, but for now, I wish you all a happy Wednesday.

A Morning In Berlin

Apologies for being so rubbish at posting at the moment. My dissertation is taking up way too much of my time for my liking and would much rather be bringing you new posts to read. Super late on the Berlin feature but I'm bringing you the first instalment this evening.

On arrival it wasn't half as cold as I expected and we had lots of daylight left to go take some photos in what I wore to travel in. My comfiest boots were a must as I had no idea if I'd have to walk or where we were staying etc, and obviously wondering around airports doing some duty free shopping is a lot of walking. Of course I couldn't go anywhere without my ripped jeans, and they are actually pretty comfy to travel in, although the wind in Berlin wasn't the warmest so my poor legs suffered a little. A plain black turtle neck (yes I am still obsessing) accessorised with a chunk of crystal, and there is no way you can go somewhere cold without a coat. This is the beauty I bought a couple of weeks ago from ASOS. (A few of you may have noticed my rant about it being late to be delivered, but the wait was so worth it)

I wish I had more time over there to explore and find some amazing little coffee shops which I found last time I visited but it was a very fast pace trip. That doesn't mean I didn't have time to explore for some quick photos though, more posts from my mini break will be up over the next few days. For now I'm celebrating my last friday of January with a hot chocolate and an early night, ready for getting up at 6am to go sit in coffee shops to finish this dissertation.
