Gold Label

Spring is such a beautiful season, where flowers start to blossom against the winter branches, the grass gets greener and the days open up for longer. But the only downside is, it's still pretty chilly.

This however is my answer to all the windy spring days ahead. The Gold Label Cape from HollandCooper is not only beautiful and effortlessly eye catching but it's super snuggly too. It's such a stunning statement piece but also perfect for walks, city breaks or just going out with friends for the day. Every occasion, this piece is purely perfect. 

The wonderful British brand HollandCooper prides itself on being high end British beauty. They use the most incredible Scottish tweeds in their pieces along with high end leathers and suedes to create some truly inspiring and beautiful items that you will love from the day they arrive.

This specific beauty (Gold Label Fur Cape in Brown Herringbone) is from HollandCooper's petite section, which for me is perfect as I am 5'4 capes can often swamp me, but with the perfect tailoring and length it only compliments my height. Naturally this creates a boost in confidence making me feel amazing when I wear it. It has a super snug fur hood too which keeps the spring breeze at bay and keeps you looking amazing even when it's chilly. I just love how this colour goes so well with my hair and making it pop out of the outfit. Not only does it look amazing but it is unbelievably comfy to wear. Can you tell I'm a little obsessed?

Pancake Love

This is my first pancake away from home but it gave me a chance to test out some yummy ideas. Blueberry pancakes for breakfast this morning some tummy loving Nutella pancakes for dinner, heaven.

Both super easy recipes:

1 Egg

1 Cup of Self Raising Flour

1 Cup of Milk

...Then Whisk

Obviously with the blueberry ones I added in the blueberries and a little sprinkle of cinnamon but the nutella ones I kept the mix plain. Fast, easy and delicious. Hope you have all had a wonderfully sweet day.

Mooshki Gown

Yesterday was a manic day but busy days are always the best, especially when it involves rehearsals for a bridal show. I am modelling this stunning Mooshki dress and one from Claire Pettibone at the Bridal Exhibition on the 15th in Hall for Cornwall and I am so so excited to wear such amazing dresses again. 

I hadn't heard of House of Mooshki until yesterday when I told I'd be modelling their dress Poppy (pictured). I honestly didn't want to take this off, the lace detail over the chest, shoulders and back, the fluffy skirt and at a perfect length too. It's just incredible and anyone looking for wedding dresses at the moment you must stop by their website and have a look, their are all so beautiful and adorable. As always wearing bridal gowns makes me feel like a princess which is definitely why I love modelling bridal. We have a dance routine to learn for this show and it is going to be amazing so if you're in Truro on the 15th you should stop by Hall for Cornwall, £2 entry to watch the catwalk and have at look at all things beautiful.

Furry Christmas

Fur is everywhere lately and I can't get enough of it! Fur coats, fur gilets, fur scarfs even fur clutch bags (which I need to invest in asap) but today I'm featuring this uber fluffy black and white gilet from Celeblook. 

It looks fabulous with long sleeved shift dress, a jumper and jeans, skirt and top it goes with basically anything and for a christmas party it's perfect to add a warmer layer without having to carry a big coat around with you. There is no such thing as too fluffy for me so this is just the perfect element to add to your festive outfits. I don't know about you guys but I'm home over Christmas at the moment and it's freeeeezing up north compared to Cornwall so this has been packed in my case so I can be snuggled up when I go for festive cocktails to catch up with friends. Keeping a monochrome look I opted for a bright lippy with my Classy Winchester Daniel Wellington watch to add a bit of colour.

Merry December Everyone

Sorry I haven't been posting as much as I usually do. Had a manic week of shoots, editing and uni work and my internet is being horrific...hence no vlog yet. Hopefully it will be up asap though. 

Through December I have so many fun and christmassy posts for you all including, posts of what to wear to your christmas party, my christmas jumper this year and of course there will be some festive vlogging going on once I'm home for the holidays. Also some lovely features with Boohoo, CelebLook and Misspap. This week is again pretty crammed as I have a bridal launch party on wednesday evening so tomorrow is dress rehearsals so it's all go here before heading to London on thursday morning. Busy is good though so I will try get some London posts up too as I know it's going to be super festive. Lots to look forward to so hope your Monday is made a little bit happier knowing it's now December.

The Christmas Tag

As we all know Christmas is coming thick and fast with the heartbreaking adverts, the mince pies selling everywhere, christmas music is being played and party outfits are being planned. Safe to say I love this time of year, no other holidays come close. I have loads of festive posts planned and I am so thankful to Bethany from curiousclaptrap for nominating me in the Christmas tag...so here we go!

1. What is your favourite Christmas movie?

My favourite christmas movie has to be Elf. Such a fun loving and hilarious film that I watch every year...closely followed by The Grinch.

2. Do you open your presents Christmas eve or morning?

In our family we usually drag out the presents all day to make them last longer. In the morning I usually get woken up by brother (who is 27) asking me what I've got in my stocking this year, we sit on my bed and go through then go see what he's got. After that we head downstairs and wait for the rest of the family to arrive. Then we open a few presents before and after lunch so it's not all over in one go. 

3. Do you have a favourite Christmas memory?

I am lucky enough to have so many favourite memories of christmas, but i'll try keep them short. One would have to be the first christmas with my first dog, Tilly. She was so small and she was sat in the kitchen while mum was preparing the turkey. It made us both laugh watching her sit and look as she wasn't even the same size as it. Another would be my first christmas with my beautiful baby niece Pippa. She was so adorable in her penguin onesie it just brought our whole family so much closer together. My final one would have to be when Lord Of The Rings is on TV. My father and I would sit together and watch them all whilst sharing some Bailey's. They are some silly memories but they will forever be so important to me.

4. Favourite Festive Food?

Anyone who knows me knows I love food, so this question is impossible...BUT it isn't christmas without mince pies!

5. Favourite Christmas Gift?

My favourite christmas gift...this is tough. I am thankful for all gifts I get every year. Everyone is always so thoughtful and tried to think of something I will love and I'm never disppointed. Last year though had to be my presents from my best friend Lisa. She got me a Jack Wills bracelet and Jack Wills mittens. She knew how much I loved them and I honestly had tears in my eyes when I opened them. I don't know where I'd be without her.

6. Favourite Christmas Scent?

Christmas comes in many smells for me. But definitely the cinnamonny, vanlliary, spicey smell...like in mulled wine...you know what I mean right?

7. What tops your tree? 

As every year...a gold star.

8. Do you have any Christmas Eve traditions?

As I usually work every Christmas Eve unfortunately I don't have any traditions however much I would love one. But there is always amazing festive films on TV and when I do finish work we all spend the evening watching some and usually drinking some kind of christmas drink. 

9. As a kid, what was one Christmas present you wished for, but never received?

When I was little (littler) I was obsessed with 101 Dalmatians and every year I would wish for a puppy. That's all I ever wanted. Not barbies, not toys, just a puppy and when we got Tilly (not for christmas but a few months before) it was the best christmas ever...a dream come true.

10. Whats the best part of Christmas for you?

The best part of christmas for me is having all my family around. I'm so lucky to come from a bigger family, 2 big sisters, 1 big brother and extended family, niece and nephew and brother in law. We all get on so well and only ever get closer, but thankfully we all share a very rare sense of humour which only gets stronger when we are around eachother. So as you can imagine christmas games are hilarious. Onesie twister is now a christmas game and Articulate is by far the funniest game you can play with my family. The laughs at christmas are definitely the best part, shared with the people that mean the most to me.

Favourite Find

On my mini haul I went with the purpose of finding some winter warmers but this caught my eye in River Island and it's just so fitting. Who has ever gone shopping, found something they love but for some reason you talk yourself out of buying it? "I'll come back" or "If it's still here next time I'll get it"; only to return and find that it's gone or they have it but not in your size. This is only made worse when you see other people wearing it and looking fabulous. Yes, this has happened way too often to me and sometimes you should listen to your mother and just get it.

This shirt was one of those items that I didn't know whether to buy it or not but I'm glad I caved. I love it and I'm sure I can find shoots for this to feature in and you can never ever have enough oversized shirts. Love the design and the gold lettering on En Vogue, there is so many ways to style this. Tucked into a skirt, with leggings, by itself for lazy days, wear it baggy with skinny jeans, so many options. Safe to say this was my best buy. 

Horse Whispering

Throwing it back today to the shoot I did for Blakely Clothing in the Brooke Burgundy dress. As summer came into autumn, the evening light was amazing coming through the trees creating such magical light to be shot in with some beautiful horses. This is one of the comfiest dresses I own, with super soft cotton and free flowing it's so easy to wear. It can be hard to find dresses suitable for everyday but this is my favourite in my wardrobe. Even in the colder weather you can pair it with tights and a blazer or even put a jumper over the top. Blakely Clothing is fast becoming a must-have brand with each item being of high quality, not only looking great but fitting perfectly. 

This shoot was one of my favourites I have done to date, I love horses and wish I had more time to spend with them but this evening in particular was wonderful even if they were more photogenic than me, even pushing me out of shot at times but it was lovely working with them. I can't say enough how perfect the lighting was for this it reminded me of a scene from a film it was totally other worldly.

Bonfire Night

Hope you all had an amazing bonfire night last night. As promised I took some photos of the fireworks display I went to, safe to say it didn't disppoint. It's sad thinking this is my last bonfire night in Falmouth but it was spent with some amazing people. Unfortunately there was no mulled wine so I might have to make my own soon.

Never take moments for granted with friends, family or anyone that really means something to you. Life keeps going whether you want it to or not and you can't relive a moment no matter how much you wish you could. So hold onto every special moment you can and really make the most out of life. I can feel that November is going to be a great month with lots of new and exciting things happening. So get out there make yours the same. Have fun and don't take life too seriously. You only get one chance, make it count.

Time to Wrap Up

It's Bonfire Night! YAY! Fireworks, warm clothes, hot dogs and all things seriously autumny. After a crazy couple of days, I thought I'd embrace the weather and wrap up for a couple of hours with a cup of tea before heading into the night to watch a big firework display. I absolutely love this time of year; sweater weather is definitely better weather. This is one of my favourite light sweaters for this time of year, that is super comfy and perfect for being lazy in. Who doesn't love over sized knits after all?

I'm currently planning some autumn shoots with more giant knits, boots and little things to start to help you all feel a bit more festive. It is Christmas next month so time to start baking some winter warmers and cracking out some mulled wine. You guys have no idea how excited I am that there might be mulled wine or cider at the event tonight, pretty lame right? I'll take lots of photos and share them with you all tomorrow.
