Special Feature Outfit

In the coming weeks FiveFootFour has been lucky enough to be part of some exciting collaborations starting tonight in my little home town of Shrewsbury. I won't give away the destination just yet as there will be some amazing things happening but here is my outfit for this evening. Featuring my new JONI jeans which are the best fitting jeans I own and super comfy.

Feeling a black and white theme for tonight and even the sun has come out so I won't be needing a jacket, summer isn't over yet guys! Love a classic black and white outfit, adding some casual elements with the statement necklace. Super excited for this article so keep your eyes peeled and look out for updates.

New Fragrance

It won't be hard to work out over time that the Marc Jacobs Daisy collection is my favourite of all fragrances. Marc Jacobs Daisy is my newest addition and I just had to share it with you!

Loved this scent for so long and finally got my hands on a bottle and look how beautiful it is. All bottles are just so perfectly designed, beautiful smells and beautifully presented...What more could you want?! Presentation is always important with any form of fashion but this is just divine.

Eye Candy

So much eye candy around in the fashion bubble right now so had to put all my most wanted items into a photo to see what I'm working with. Can't wait to get my hands on these, even in autumn these will be amazing elements to so many outfits!

Totally head over heels in love with the Classy Winchester watch in Rose Gold by Daniel Wellington, and with the Swarovski details on the face it can add glam to autumn outfits or get some shine in the last few weeks of summer.

Daisy Dream by Marc Jacobs is my latest craving. Found it at the Heathrow Airport and haven't stopped thinking about it since. This is huge must to even lighten up those dark and rainy days.

As for this beautiful bag the blue Hinge Plate Holdall from TopShop is just the perfect bad I've been searching for. Big enough to fit the blogging essentials in but small enough to compliment even the most delicate of outfits. Both the blue and black are gorgeous so I recommend you check these out! (Hopefully you can spot this bag in future shoots once I have my hands on it.)

Also from TopShop, the Wide Brim Fedora Hat is perfect for days where you leave your hair and brave the world. The perfect accessory for coming autumn and stay looking classy with this paired with a cute white shirt. Evenings out with the girls for a few cocktails would be the perfect time to show off this piece.

Last but definitely not least these wonderful white heels from Missguided. Clara White Strappy Sandals can team up with some pale blue jeans and get your wear out of them with the last few weeks of summer before the rain hits. So stylish and just the cutest pair of heels that go with everything! Fantastic for delicate dresses or just with jeans and a blazer to create a more sophisticated casual look.

Make It Bright

As summer is currently a bit wet and cloudy I thought I'd try inspire you all to make the most of the remaining summer. Summer is always about bright colours, sunshine and generally being pretty happy so why not reflect that in your outfits and details?

I love summer and there is nothing that makes me happier than being in the sunshine so I decided to share with you these details of one of my favourite summer outfits. Teaming a bright playsuits with hot pinks and a brown satchel with its own details adds more colour to the outfit than just having a black handbag. Satchels are perfect for summer when you need to keep your hands free for summer sales and of course, eating ice creams.

My smaller details are keeping with the splashes of colour like my beautiful turquoise ring from a street market in Ludlow. My pandora bracelet adds subtle colours to the outfit with the wonderful coloured murano glass beads. It's a great chunky bracelet to team up with any summer outfit as it will always look fabulous in the sun.

And who says just because the sun isn't out you can't dress it like it, make a colour statement in this cloudy weather and show off your bright side!

ALS Ice Bucket Challenge

So here is my video of my ALS IceBucket Challenge. I felt bad when i didn't really know what ALS was but after watching some heart wrenching videos about how real this is and how much is effects peoples lives I wanted to be part of this amazing fund raiser. It's so important to help others and support people who need a helping hand, after all we are all human and everyone needs help once in a while, but with things like this, we all need to pull together and give a bit back to help peoples lives. A small donation from us means so much to so many people. Yes, this is a fun and silly way to raise money but behind it all is a serious problem which if we all help, can support a lot of people living each day with the struggle of having ALS.

Beautiful Hydration

If it's one thing I miss most about the beautiful country of Thailand is the detail they put into their drinks. They were always perfectly made, amazing flavours and beautifully presented.

This was one element that opened my eyes to the world, something so simple as a drink can widen your experiences to the world so quickly. In UK there are places that put the effort in to their presentation more than others, but out in Thailand it is everywhere you go. The effort, the love for their food and drinks, it was wonderfully refreshing. As for the flavours, they were vibrant, exotic and it felt like they awakened my taste buds from the grave.

Being pretty frightening of trying new foods and flavours for my most of my life is just a distant memory as without trying new things I wouldn't have been able to taste the wonders of Thailand in all its glory. Don't be afraid to try new things, even with experiences, because you could be passing up a chance to try the most wonderful thing in your life.

Drinks:  Mango Mojito, Caramel Iced Coffee, Chocolate, Raspberry and Mango Frappes and Iced Lemon Juice with Orchid Garnish.

Vintage Wedding Guest

IT'S HERE; the post you have all been asking after.

BE OUR GUEST: VINTAGE WEDDINGS!

This was by far one of my favourite shoots I have ever done. I haven't done many vintage shoots but this was such a wonderful experience I hope there will be more I can share with you in the future. All the clothes were just beautiful and the team I was able to work with couldn't have been better. All the clothes were vintage and from a beautiful little boutique in Cornwall. I absolutely fell in love with the pale yellow dress that fitted me perfectly in all the right places with wonderful lace details.

I could have spent all day there getting lost in all the vintage bags, outfits and head pieces in the little shop but we had to get on with the shoot and I could not have had a better day and been looked better. Fingers crossed for more lovely shoots like this soon.

Shoots like this are a bit nerve wracking, having all eyes on you and walking around with the pubic shopping around you and taking their own photos through the windows, but it is all confidence building and eventually it all becomes a blur. All that matters is being yourself and showing off the amazing pieces I was so lucky to wear.

Keeping everything vintage including the make up but we kept with a pale peach lipstick and matching nail varnish for a small pop of colour against all the pales in the dresses.

All the outfits I wore in this shoot were from the boutique itself, including the shoes and bags. So if you're ever passing this beautiful wonderland pop in and get yourself lost in a vintage paradise.

Behind The Scenes

I thought before I release the images for you all on the amazing vintage wedding guest shoot you have been asking for I would share some behind the scenes images for you all. The team I was blessed to be working with were amazing with hair and make up. Love having it all done before shoots and meeting new people this way always means a lovely day ahead. Bonding with the team before a shoot is always important to me as it helps to feel as relaxed and confident as possible in front of the camera.

Couldn't have loved my makeup and hair more for this shoot! Excited to show you all the images and hear what you think of them. So grateful for the opportunities that have been given to me in life and fingers crossed for more amazing things to share with you all.

My Addiction

As you have probably noticed by now I always wear rings and I have so many now but I just can never have enough. I have wanted one to fit my wedding finger on my right hand for years but because my fingers are so small it's impossible to find one that fits. However I was a very spoilt and lucky girl on my birthday and was given this beautiful Tiffany&Co. ring that fits perfectly and I couldn't love it anymore if I tried. Silly how small material things can hold so much meaning but this is by far my favourite.

It is the perfect ring for stacking too, I wear it with my gold and silver heart band from Pandora, but as it isn't an awkward shape you are wear it with nearly another ring you'd like. Perfect in summer for those sunny days where it shines wonderfully. I'm sure you will be able to spot on loads of new photos as I haven't taken it off since coming back from Thailand!

Details and Jewels

These are some of the details from the Blue and Green Spring/Summer shoot. Love my silverwear and love to keep things simple and classic for my outfit shoots.
A few understated rings stacked together can create a more delicate and modern look with an outfit. Stacking rings are becoming a bit of an addiction as I'm sure you'll realise the more I photograph them. With a high neck dress or jumper I like to put a long necklace on to fill the space, so this piece of crystal was perfect for this shoot as it adds a shine and summer feel to the mint green jumper.
The cute little daisy earrings are simple and not in the distracting from the outfit but photograph beautifully with head shots and close ups.

Sunshine Nails

No matter how old you get, you will never grow out of having girly nights in painting each others nails. The gorgeous blogger WhatSheDid painted these cute little flowers on my nails for me. Aren't they sweet! Especially in the morning sunshine! My favourite time of day in summer.

Blue and Green Can't Be Seen?

With the weather dropping a little from being the glorious sunshine we got used to for a while I thought I'd post one of my favourite looks so sunny but chillier days for this summer. These are my favourite jeans that fit perfectly in all the right places and such a gorgeous colour. "Blue and Green can't be seen" - I LOVE these blue and green pastels, feeling so summery with my mint green jumper and nails.

What's your favourite pastel piece?

Doi Suthep Temple

Being blessed with the amount of wondrous temples we have come across in Chiang Mai, we decided to go find another breathtaking experience we had heard about. Known as the golden temple, the Doi Suthep temple is found up the mountains in Chiang Mai, through the rainforest and situated at the top of over 300 steps.

After a great work out to reach the top the first thoughts were you were walking straight inside a huge temple. To my delight the doors I walked through opened up into a large courtyard with smaller temples, statues, walls of candles all surrounding a glowing golden temple. With the sun shining off it all over allowing it to glow in gold it almost looked like it was the sun of Thailand.

For the most part of this adventure I was speechless, everything was so perfectly crafted even on a huge scale. The talent was incredible. Stumbling across a room where a monk sat and anyone can go inside to be blessed was something I needed to experience. No photos were allowed to be taken whilst sitting in front of the monk so I wasn't able to show you myself getting blessed but the experience was wonderful. Taking part in things like really make the journey that little bit more meaningful and spiritual. I had to close my eyes in the prayer position and the feeling of complete calm fell over me again as he chanted and flicked water over us whilst praying. He then called us forward and showed us to the right of him where we were giving bracelets which would protect us and give us goodluck.

If you are travelling, embrace every opportunity that presents itself to you, you never know what it might mean to you.

Street Food Bliss

One thing I really truly miss about travelling is the amazing street food on offer. Everywhere we went there were streets lined with stalls and independent trailers with woks and cookers on them. After getting over my initial fear of getting sick I tried some street food chicken skewers and they were amazing! There was every type of food imaginable and all cooked fresh before your eyes.

I do miss walking down roads looking at how they make things and watching the locals cook, it was always so refreshing to see. Definitely think we need more street food instead of restaurants over here. Just look how much sushi there was (yes my obsession with sushi was in heaven in Chiang Mai)

If you are ever travelling even if it's not in Thailand, try the street food, it's the experience as well as the taste.
